AP Dhillon, Shreya – Thodi Si Daaru

Thodi Si Daaru (Official Music Video) | AP Dhillon | Shreya Ghoshal | Tara Sutaria

Released last year, this song has a wonderful feel to it.

17 JULY 2025 (TORONTO, ON) –  Shining in every corner of the globe as a genre-defining superstar, acclaimed singer, rapper, producer, and leader in the Punjabi music scene, AP Dhillon ignites a brand new single and music video entitled “Thodi Si Daaru” featuring Shreya Ghoshal, out now via Republic Records in alliance with Universal Music Canada

The production laces an organic beat with loose electric guitar, teeing up the verses for AP Dhillon to flaunt his signature melodic Punjabi vocals. Meanwhile, Shreya counters with a hypnotic assist, leaning into her towering high register. The track culminates on the kind of chantable chorus that crosses boundaries. Bringing audiences into his world, the visual notably co-stars Indian actress Tara Sutaria. It depicts a lively romance in motion against a seventies-inspired backdrop. The choreography and chemistry transfix in every frame as AP Dhillon and Tara laugh, flirt, and dance. It’s both hot and heartfelt!

Frequently Asked Questions

KWORB

Q: What is “kworb”?
A: It’s the nickname I use online. I’m a guy from the Netherlands and this whole website is my personal playground. I’m mostly known for administering pop culture forum ATRL, and for being a huge fan of Italian singer Tiziano Ferro. Use Twitter if you want to contact me. I usually don’t respond to business proposals though since I’m not interested.

Q: Can’t you do something about the layout? Maybe add some graphs? Make it mobile-friendly?
A: I’m more of a programmer and data scientist than a web developer, so working on the appearance has never been a priority. I’m also not a fan of graphs, I prefer to see the numbers. But feel free to use the data to make your own graphs. You can also ask me for specific data sets if you can’t find them on the site, or if they’re archived here in an inconvenient way.

Patrick Watson, November Ultra – Silencio

Patrick Watson – Silencio (Official Music Video)

a bit about this beautiful song

Patrick Watson, the singer/songwriter, film composer and pianist based in Montreal, has returned with a new single called “Silencio,” featuring the rising French singer-songwriter November Ultra. The song was inspired by an experience Watson, an Award-winning artist that has released several beloved albums of explorative cinematic pop over the past two decades, had in which he couldn’t speak or sing for nearly three months. “Silencio” explores some of the impressions that came to him during this time: does he talk too much? The anxiety that comes with reliving a conversation, learning to be a better listener and the power of silence.

The song is out today, and will be part of a larger album project that Watson has been finishing, inspired by his missing voice, with more details to be announced soon.

more about the song

The song was recorded in a painter’s studio in Paris (Studio Alterio of artist Ruben Alterio), overlooking Montmartre. “With an enormous window and so much old Parisian charm and ghosts,” he says. The loft called for a classical guitar, so Stein (Mishka Stein) ran to a nearby music shop and in one of several examples of kismet around this recording, found a beautiful instrument to feature on the recording.

and about November Ultra

“Silencio” is sung in both Spanish and English, with November Ultra starting the song with her otherworldly and delicate vocals. Watson describes the process of making it as “magical.” “Her wonderful wit and beautifully soft caring tone was very inspiring. The song just kind of wrote itself, AS THOUGH IT WAS A CONVERSATION WE HAD BEEN HAVING OUR WHOLE LIVES. It was lovely,” he says.

Le Ren – Free Wheeling

I found this as one of the top songs on the Eh! Playlist by Exclaim! (I think). But Exclaim! has lots of good things to say

Le Ren’s “Free Wheeling” Feels Like Coming Home

Exclaim! Staff PicksBY Allie GregoryPublished May 20, 2026

Lauren Spear’s debut album as Le RenLeftovers, came as a standout amid a wave of Canadian alt-country in the early pandemic years, and in announcing her sophomore effort Don’t Be Funny Without Me (out August 28 via Royal Mountain Records), she’s unveiled an evolution of her sound via lead single “Free Wheeling.”

The three verses of “Free Wheeling” map the arc of human relationships: excitement for the possibilities, the process of knowing, saying goodbye. Electric textures and additional strings create a lush cloud upon which Spear’s angelic vocals soar. It feels like coming home.

Le Ren – Free Wheeling (Official Visualizer)

Le Ren, the project of Lauren Spear will release her new album, Don’t Be Funny Without Me, on August 28 via Royal Mountain Records, ahead of the LP’s the artist has shared lead single, “Free Wheeling”. DBWM was self-produced alongside old friends Fez Gielen and Jonas Bonetta

On “Free Wheeling”, Le Ren reflects on the inevitable end of a season of temporary love. It arrives as a perfect spring offering, carrying a subtle humour threaded through its unraveling, a sensibility echoed in the album’s title. Le Ren sings, “Take me to your darkest place / On our holiday / Ya, I want to see it all.”

Le Ren has opened Jeff Tweedy, Devendra Banhart, and Men I Trust.Don’t Be Funny Without Me was recorded in Le Ren’s Hometown of Mountain Grove, Ontario. The LP explores love, jealousy, and the uneasy ways the two often intertwine.

Lido Pimienta – Tóxica

It looks like Lido Pimienta has a new album out (coming out in July), so I have to play something by her.

Lido Pimienta – Tóxica

From Brooklyn Vegan

Lido Pimienta has announced a new album, Caribenya, due out July 17 via ANTI-. It follows last year’s orchestral La Belleza, but a press release describes it as “a spiritual successor” to her 2020 cumbia-infused art pop album Miss Colombia. “Someone told me that making a classical album was gonna be impossible for me and I did it, an ‘impossible-only-Europeans-could-ever-do-this album;’ Caribenya is the counterpart where I got to be less cerebral and have more fun,” she says. “With my friends, I’m more collaborative, because I usually work alone; it has a sense of joy and collaboration that is very Caribbean. It’s like ‘come over and hang. You don’t need to set up an appointment, you can just knock on the door.’”

Tourmates City and Colour and Ruby Waters have redone the Tragically Hip’s classic song as part of an upcoming album for the 2026 World Cup.  Produced by Juno winner Boi-1da, all proceeds from the album will support the Canada Soccer Foundation.
